WX1 Services FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
General
Q: What are WX-ONE Services?
WX-ONE Services are our managed and professional services, through which we take over part or all of the operation of your cloud infrastructure. This includes maintenance of virtual machines, security advisory, and management of Kubernetes environments based on Rancher.
Q: Who are the services for?
They are designed for organizations that want to offload the complexity of their infrastructure — for example businesses in regulated industries running virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, or multi-branch deployments that would rather use their internal team for innovation than for routine operations.
Q: Where are the services delivered from?
All services are delivered from data centers in Germany. We operate in a GDPR-compliant manner and are certified to ISO 27001:2022, so even strict compliance requirements are met.
Operations and Maintenance
Q: What does the maintenance service cover?
The Maintenance building block handles patch management and general health checks for your virtual machines. The fee is always charged together with a 10% share of the price of the managed VM.
Q: How does the security advisory work?
The Security Advisory hardens your systems with specialized security tooling, monitors them continuously, and provides impact analysis of newly disclosed vulnerabilities. The minimum price is 68.75 € per host per month.
Q: Does our team stay involved?
Yes. You retain full control over your environment. We take on the operational effort and coordinate changes with you, so your team can focus on your core business.
Kubernetes and Rancher
Q: What does Rancher management include?
We keep your Rancher cluster up to date, handle the initial setup, manage one inclusive downstream cluster, and provide limited advice on configuration questions.
Q: How is a highly available cluster provided?
The Cluster building block delivers a ready-to-go Rancher environment on three DD1.large instances, which run the cluster in a highly available configuration.
Q: Is there a cost-effective entry option?
Yes. With Shared you gain access to a shared Rancher instance for managing your Kubernetes clusters, subject to fair-use principles.
Contract and Billing
Q: How are the services billed?
All building blocks are billed monthly. Pricing is transparent and includes the described services with no hidden add-on costs.
Q: Can the scope be adjusted later?
Yes. The scope of services can be flexibly adjusted as you grow. In regular reviews we discuss together which building blocks should be added or changed.
