Q: What instance types are available?
The dd1 range spans from dd1.medium with 2 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM up to dd1.16xlarge with 128 vCPUs and 512 GB RAM. For especially large workloads, configurations with up to 320 vCPUs and 2560 GB RAM are available.
Q: How do I choose the right instance type?
Base your choice on your needs for vCPUs, memory, storage, and network throughput. Every instance includes fast NVMe storage, and our team is happy to help you with sizing if you are unsure.
Q: Can I use my own machine images?
Yes. You can launch from a prepared image or from your own previously saved image, and you can capture a running instance as a new template at any time.

Q: What storage options are available?
Every instance ships with local NVMe storage. For persistent data that lives independently of the instance, attach additional block storage volumes, which you can grow at any time and back up via snapshots.
Q: Do I get a static public IP address?
Yes, you can assign a static public IP address to your instance and move it to another instance when needed – ideal for highly available setups.
Q: How do I control network access?
Security groups act as a virtual firewall, letting you define which ports and source IPs are allowed. Instances can also be placed in isolated private networks.
Billing & availability
Q: How is WX-ONE Compute billed?
You pay only for the capacity you actually use. Hourly, monthly, and reserved models are available – with no minimum term for hourly billing. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Q: What availability does the SLA guarantee?
WX-ONE guarantees 99.9% uptime per virtual machine and 99.99% per region, making it suitable for mission-critical applications.
Q: How securely is my data processed?
Your data is processed exclusively within the jurisdiction you choose in Germany. With confidential computing you protect especially sensitive workloads through an end-to-end open and verifiable security chain.
